Deepavali Festival in Kerala – Deepavali Wishes and Deepavali Greetings

DeepavaliDeepavali (Generally known as Diwali in other parts of India, especially in northern region) is one of the famous festivals in Kerala. The name Deepavali or Diwali means “a row of lights”. The Deepavali celebration is mainly connected to the use of lights in the nights and made the festival to be known as “Festival of Lights”. The Diwali celebration comes as part of the beginning of Hindu calendar. It’s one of the delightful events in Kerala and this kind of events brings attractions to most beautiful places in Kerala.

Every festival has a story to be shared with us; likewise this Diwali Festival is also connected with an epic tale of comeback. The story behind the festival clears you about the victory of good over evil. The demon Narakasura made cruel actions towards the people he rules. He used to toruture the villagers and kidnapped woman to imprison them in his place. He made great disturbances to the village community and as a result of his cruel rule, Lord Krishna came to end his torture and killed him. The day when Narakasura was killed by Lord Krishna is celebrated as Deepavali. It also commemorates the victory of god over devil.

The lights are the main attraction throughout the celebration. People use different kinds of lighting things such as oil lamps, electric lights, etc., to decorate their home, workplace, streets, etc. The scene where lighted objects drift here and there in water filled bowls is so special during Diwali event. The Deepavali festival morning people wake up early morning at around 3 am, which is considered as brahmamuhurtam (most favorable time). Then they took oil bath, following the bath use to wear new clothes. The Hindu community share Deepavali wishes eachother, share sweet food items and also go to temple together to have prayer session.

Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Adha Festival Celebration in India –Eid Mubarak Wallpapers and Eid Pictures

eid ul fitr 2013Now it’s time for the Muslims across the globe to welcome Eid, one of the prominent celebrations of the community. There are two kinds of Eid Celebration; one is known as Eid ul Fitr and the second one known as Eid ul Adha. Similar to all other Islamic festivals, this Eid Ceremony is also closely connected with devotion to God. The prayers and practicing good deeds are the main attractions of this joyful day.

Let me describe about Eid ul Fitr at first. It’s one of the two Eid days which comes after the devotional days of one month long highly respected Ramadan fasting and sacrifices of all useless things; hence the celebration has all reasons to be a bright one. The new moon watching marks the end of the Ramadan fasting and it’s the call for Eid ul Fitr. The Eid celebration pictures start with the Morning Prayer in dedication to God. The devotees go to the mosques wearing new clothes with added fragrance of perfumes. After the prayer ceremony, people use the remaining time to meet friends and family members to share happy moments of Eid each other (Eid Mubarak is the Arabic word used for passing Eid wishes each other). Along with the Eid wishes, they share some sweets together; also offer lunch with some Eid special food items. The month of Ramadan is solely related with helping poor and as continuity to the same the people do some good things in favor of the poor as part of Eid Celebration.eid ul adha 2013

This second one known as Eid ul adha or Bakrid and is keeping the format of same celebration events. Though, the story behind the Eid ul Adha differs from the situations of Eid ul Fitr. The Bakrid is always comes to us as a remembrance of the great dedication by Prophet Ibrahim to God when he was asked for sacrificing his son Ismail. He was ready for the same without knowing that he was tested for devotion by the GOD, later he was announced with happy news of achieving God’s satisfaction over his act. The Eid ul Adha celebration thus revolved mainly in memory of this dedication. The well-known Annual Hajj Pilgrimage is performing during the time of Bakrid. Clearly, Eid ul Adha or Bakrid Celebration begins a day after the Hajj procedures are over. The devotees from across the globe reach the Pilgrim City Makkah months ahead of Eid ul Adha and return home with fully loaded minds with lots of pleasure of completing precious Hajj.

The night before the Eid Festival, it’s all busy hours for women from the families. They are getting involved in the works of making different kinds of food items for the Eid day guests. The girls from the family will also get engaged in the activities of putting eid mehndi designs for hands. They will look at several mehndi design images and sketch the same into their hands. There are lots of new and new mehndi designs are available to refer. It may include indian mehndi designs, bridal mehndi designs and arabic mehndi designs.  Traditional way of making mehndi out of the leaves is now replaced with latest mehndi designs of chemical formation. The hands with the nicely pasted mehndi designs are really a beautiful option for the girls.

Below are some of my collection of Eid Mubarak Wallpapers and Eid Celebration Pictures to contribute in your Eid Wishes. Share Eid Photos and Eid Greetings with your caring people and spread the joy of Eid Festival across.
